TactiGo, the non-profit organization for the promotion of Go, has started the french translation of First Kyu, the amazing novel by Dr. Sung-Hwa Hong. All the efforts are assumed by quite a dispersed group of translators with different professional background and origin but all very devoted to the game.
Our translation draft took a little delay after the defection of one of our collaborators. To be able to publish the translation this year, we need some help.
If you are interested, please contact us.

Jul 27, 2005, allfather posted in rec.game.go a message to launch the Manitoba Go Association Logo contest. The club offered a prize of 100$ for the winner.
Few month later, allfather wrote in MGA forum:
And the winners are!
Yes! that is right! There were 2 winners after I polled ~100 people.
The voting system was a ranking system. People (indifferent to the game) were using a ranking system from 1 - 5 to vote on the images. 5 for the best and 1 for the least liked (if applicable).
Why did I use indifferent people?
Well, glad you asked! When indifferent people vote on an image the result is that of no bias. The purpose of these images was to toss on our literature and letter head. It is the logic and hopes that this will attract new people, and allow us to get more readers. […]
So as author of these 2 logos, I’m the winner
… of a canadian Postal Money Order of 250 $
… impossible to cash in France
…
Thank you to Manitoba Go Association.
